Overview
About this workshop
A focused, small-group workshop on botulinum toxin and hyaluronic-acid dermal fillers. We begin where good results begin: facial anatomy, the danger zones and careful patient assessment. You then learn the principles behind each treatment and practise under close supervision, with complication prevention and management taught as seriously as technique.
What a hands-on session typically covers
- Facial anatomy for injectors: muscles of expression, fat compartments and vascular danger zones
- Consultation, patient selection, realistic expectations, consent and clinical photography
- Botulinum toxin: products, reconstitution and storage, dosing principles and injection points for the upper face (glabellar lines, forehead lines and crow's feet)
- Dermal fillers: hyaluronic-acid products and rheology, needle vs cannula, and common treatment areas such as lips, cheeks, nasolabial folds and chin
- Aseptic technique and safe injecting practice
- Complications: bruising, asymmetry, ptosis, nodules and infection, and recognising and managing vascular occlusion, including emergency hyaluronidase
- Supervised hands-on practice in small groups, with aftercare and follow-up
The final programme will be confirmed with the dates.
